5 Joy

How can I keep creating with joy in difficult times?

Art agent Lilla has decades of experience in the creative industry – as an art agent, an illustrator, a speaker, a columnist, creator of a national jewelry craft line, an educator, an author and more. And – though you might not know it to look at her – she also has decades of experience as an actual human being, who’s lived through war, peace, economic downturns including three recessions, and times of prosperity. Long story short: she’s got a lot of wisdom to share. Some of Lilla’s career highlights so far, including her first book, I Just Like to Make Things, her regular column for Uppercase magazine, her jewelry craft line on the front cover of Stringing magazine, and more. And she loves to share her wisdom – through her courses with Make Art That Sells, by mentoring the artists she represents, through her live Zoom events, through her monthly

Bron said: “It’s incredible to think that people are maybe going to have a little piece of my art in their home.” Bron told us: “I was knocked off my seat when one of New Zealand’s oldest and well-known household brands, Pams, selected me as one of three emerging artists to create artwork for their tissue boxes. As part of the promotion, Pams commissioned a video interview of each artist to go alongside a nationwide social media campaign, and

Here’s the transcript: “I’ll just say to everybody here the hype is real, and I don’t say things I don’t mean. I want to say something really quick about the way that Lilla teaches class. I think it’s really unique in the way that Lilla has an amazing business sense, she knows what she’s doing, she knows the markets. She’s been doing it for a
