This is so perfect for me right now! I was just debating in my mind whether to try to do some acrylic illustrations again (as I have been working on watercolor and pen and ink for some time now). But I was a bit nervous I would be pushing away from my ‘style.’ But this video is great timing! Make more art, and be versatile and my style will come together in the end! Thank you! :)
This advice could not be more right on! Lilla, you’re the best at breaking things down into plans of action. How do you find your style? keep making more art and let your art guide you to itself!
I totally agree with you, Lilla! I can see how my work is getting better as I’m doing more art. I’m trying to improve all my skills and make more and more artworks are the best way to get it! Sounds simples… but it’s a hard work.. and so necessary work.
I often struggle with this thought too, because I like to create so many different styles! I am fortunate to have an artist mentor who said almost the exact same thing, thank goodness for people like this! Also, I’ve found so far that the illustration & surface design community are so, so lovely and supportive. Thanks Lilla & your beautiful team! x
