Using vintage images, styles and motifs  in a contemporary way will boost your portfolio!

Q. Why should I take Find Your Art Style with Style?

A. In this very cool, original course, you’ll fall in love with Tamisha’s collection of charming vintage clothing and colorful, quirky flea market knickknacks, combined with her curated visuals which will inspire you to explore a variety of styles.

Tamisha brings her love of vintage combined with her expertise as a children’s book illustrator, columnist and educator to select gorgeous design motifs, lines and colors to create a unique mash-up with a contemporary twist.

Together, they will delight you, expand you, and get you to try different things, because that’s how you discover what lights you up, and what you love, what makes your heart sing – that’s the basis of your unique style.

Q. Ok, sounds good. But what will I get out of it? What will I have at the end of the course?

A. Working through the Mini and Big assignments will help you to discover, improve and evolve your unique art style.

Plus you’ll create four fabulous pieces of art for four different hot art markets, each designed to boost your illustration portfolio, and you’ll get to practise and improve your clothed figure drawing, which is fantastic for a whole range of markets, as well as giving your creative toolkit a big boost.

Lilla says: “Tamisha is not only adorable, but the information she shares is incredibly inspiring. In Week 1, for example, I love how she shows her wonky cactus to illustrate whiplash lines as part of the assignment. She shares vintage clothing and accessories and amusing items to illustrate the kinds of line work that you’re working on this week. And she then gives you information to update your vintage work, so that it’s modernized and marketable

This is for you if;

  • You want gorgeous inspiration every week and to experiment with different art materials to develop your style
  • You want to take ideas from 4 iconic eras and then *remix* to create exciting new illustrations
  • You want to be truly inspired by educator and illustrator Tamisha Anthony
  • You want to produce four stunning new pieces of art for your portfolio

You can log on every day if you choose, or set aside time once or twice a week to work through it.

The content in the class  is downloadable and you will have access to the classroom until 31 January, 2026 so you have plenty of time to go through everything at your own pace.

And because everything is made available to you online, it does not matter what time zone you are in.

A: As an agent whose artists have illustrated and authored lots of children’s books, games and other products, Lilla knows exactly what sells and what doesn’t sell. The historical aspect of the course is incorporated into  portfolio pieces for today’s markets.
