Because you’ll get more work and have a more interesting and lucrative illustration career if you can show a range of tone and mood in your portfolio. That’s why it’s definitely worth taking this course even if you’ve taken it before – because a potential client needs to see several strong pieces of art in your portfolio before they can trust you with a gig!

Our last Editorial LIVE course was subtitled The Popular Culture Edit, and for their final assignment students were charged with illustrating the lyrics to “Truth Hurts” by Lizzo. What a ride! And just look at the incredible work that came out of class. Imagine having something like this in your own portfolio (in fact, one student, Maria Ingram, picked up her first editorial job just from sharing her rough draft on Instagram)!

Five clues!

What will the final assignment be this time? Here’s what we know so far, fellow detectives:

  1. It’s called The Artivism Edit
  2. The warm up exercise is all about OPTIMISM (get your FREE copy here)
  3. It’s all about effecting positive change
  4. We know it will be bang on trend because Lilla sees what’s being assigned to her artists right now
  5. It’s something that will bring out the best in every student, whatever level they’re at, and be a powerful addition to your portfolio

Any ideas? Head over to our Instagram account and have a guess and you could win a Lilla Rogers Studio tote full of greetings cards by Lilla’s artists!
