Here’s Part 2 of your free treasure hunt art assignment
I’ve got a nutty treasure hunt art assignment for you today, that’s sure to intrigue you, but also to get you to connect with meaningful little objects in your world. We will be using these odd little bits in the three class assignments. Trust me. There’s method to my madness.
- Today you’ll gather up 13 small items, things you have around you. They can be anything that appeals to you.
- Plop them into a bowl or a dish or whatever to have on hand to use in class.
- If you want direction, you can use the chart below as a kind of bingo board, finding one object for each square. Print it out if you like and pop an item on each square.
- Feel free to change out any of my suggestions. For example, add any fragrant items like lavender, cloves, ginger, cinnamon, rose petals. The important thing is that you connect with the objects and they appeal to you.
- Try to have at least a few objects that are small, like the size of your thumbnail.
Here’s a bingo board with categories you can look for. I’ve gathered some bits and pieces in each section in my example below.
Q. Lilla, you said to collect 13 items but there are only 12 categories on the bingo board. What gives?
A. Well spotted! Pick your favorite category and double up. Or maybe you’ll find two things that you love for the same category. Or you might go completely off-road and make up a whole new category! It doesn’t matter, you just need to find at least 13 objects.
Here’s what I collected! I went nuts because it was fun, and to give you ideas, but you only need 13 items. You’ll be using any tiny odds and ends in the manifesting process. Ideally, they are things that delight you.
