You’ll create hot new portfolio pieces in your unique style with fun, engaging prompts!

Assignment Bootcamp is one of our most popular courses, and for good reason: it’s brilliant fun for everyone, from beginners to professional artists; you’ll make some really cool art which will get you great work; you get to find out about the newest trends and create gorgeous portfolio pieces  which are bang up to date; and it’s completely motivating because of Lilla’s unique teaching style.

Picture this. You’re making great art. You’re clear about your goals. You want to create a knockout portfolio piece that will help you snag a great job. So where to start? What’s hot right now? Are botanicals a thing? Are people buying unicorns at the moment? What about cats? Everyone likes cats, right?

As a top art agent, Lilla assigns work and commissions to her artists every day, so she knows exactly what clients and art directors are looking for and what sells. For every Bootcamp, Lilla writes all the assignments from scratch, and she starts by picking four really hot markets that are buying a lot of art right now.

Lilla says: I was chatting with a colleague on the phone the other day, and she said “Thank you! My artists take your classes and their work gets so much better!”. I knew when I was writing courses that other agents’ artists would take the classes, and I’m good with that. There’s room for everybody.

I’m so excited about writing Bootcamp assignments. I always try to outdo myself in delighting and surprising my Bootcamp students. I love seeing the amazing work that comes out of Bootcamp, and one thing that I’m really proud of is the high number of people who actually do the work.

Each week you’ll get something from me – maybe a mini assignment, maybe a quirky worksheet to complete, a video, a kooky game, or even a big assignment – expect the unexpected! Often you’ll be building on the work we did earlier on, just like in our free MBA #MATSprep earlier this month … So maybe one week you’ll be free drawing without knowing what it’s for, and then the following week you find out, and what’s really cool is that you’ve already done a lot of the work, so there’s no where-do-I-begin, no freezing up and procrastination. It’s a really fun way to create, and at the end of it you’ll have four fabulous market-savvy portfolio pieces, just like that!

Each month there will be an online gallery where you’ll be encouraged to share your work, with a deadline for submission. Want to know a secret? Don’t be afraid of deadlines! Deadlines are a creative person’s best friend. If you have a fear of deadlines then breaking a piece of work down into chunks is a really great way of motivating yourself, and it’s just one of the skills you’ll learn and practise on Assignment Bootcamp.

Plus don’t forget it’s a really great way to get your amazing art in front of a leading art agent!

Are you ready to get started? Are you ready to treat yourself to four months of fun, inspiration and motivation? Join us! Class starts Monday, February 4th!
