Our second FREE quarterly Art Challenge took place in December, and we were loved seeing the amazing art that you created! Today we wanted to share art agent Lilla’s favorite art from the second challenge, and, in case you missed it, let you know how you can take part in the next challenge.

The assignment was to create art for IPA packaging in just one week. Why this assignment? Craft beer packaging design is a huge market for your art, and one that you may not have thought about. It can also lead to spin off sales in things like prints, t-shirts, stickers, skateboards, and other merch.

Plus you can bring so much of your cool quirky self to it: cute, quirky, dreamy, radical, humorous, graphic – it lends itself to almost any style, and that means it’s a great thing to have in your portfolio. (It was also a great sneaky warm up for Lilla’s long-awaited lettering course, Assignment Bootcamp: Lettering, which kicks off February 5th!)

Lilla looked at every piece of art submitted before the deadline – and was unable to pick a favorite! She ended up choosing two joint first place winners, Renee Hahnel and Samantha Thorley, who each won a place in their choice of our NEW courses for 2024.
