Where is illustrator Zoe Ingram now?

Back in 2013, Zoe Ingram won the first ever Global Talent Search from Lilla Rogers Studio. Here’s where she is now.

Zoe Ingram was the Global Talent Search Grand Prize Winner back in 2013 when the competition was launched for the first time. Little did she know when she registered that she was going to work with amazing companies and get to design her own books!

Zoe takes a step back to have a look at what she achieved in the last year and a half. These are only a few examples of the jobs she has been working on: the list goes on!

October 2013

I won the first ever Global Talent Search Competition – as soon as the news was announced, things started moving quite quickly, with lots of sorting of images for my archive with Lilla Rogers Studio as well as contracts etc.

I also received news that I was to work on a 20 Ways book with Quarry Books about a week after the end of the Global Talent Search. I also took part in the Hot Markets for Your Art Part B course I’d enrolled in earlier in the year.

I started a year long personal project called Project Adelaide with a fellow Make Art That Sells student, Kate Mason, in which we are capturing hidden gems of beautiful Adelaide through our drawings. Make Art That Sells courses have been a wonderful way to  connect with other illustrators.

March 2015

We moved house! Big move, lots of packing and unpacking and organising. This took a lot out of me, but I am now settling into my new studio space. During this time, I was also working on a stationery project for an Australian company, Seeded Educationary, which included logo design and illustrations.

I was also asked to work on some ideas for temporary tattoo designs for Lil’ Zebra.

April 2015

I had a really enjoyable month of painting florals on Project Adelaide – I enjoyed getting my paint out for these, and it has given me motivation and inspiration for new personal work.

June 2015

This brings us right up to date and I am currently working on a coloring book for adults, something I have wanted to do for a long time, so I’m really happy about this one! I’m about half way through my idea sketches as we speak.

I’m also working on some new personal holiday art at the moment and I will be taking the new Make Art That Sells course, Creating Collections for Home Décor, at the end of June, which I am looking forward to so much. It’s been a while since I did any form of online learning.

The Future

Who knows what tomorrow may bring, but I have a few plans up my sleeve and a long list of clients I would like to work with. I want to continue to paint and use traditional media as much as possible. I’m aiming to attend Surtex again next year in 2016.

If you’d asked me two years ago if I would have been able to achieve all of this in under two years I think I probably would have laughed. I’m very proud of myself.
