We’re thrilled to be able to share our big news: Lilla Rogers Studio is taking on a new artist, and it’s one of our very own Make Art That Sells students!
MATS courses are unique in being led by one of the world’s foremost art agents, Lilla Rogers – which means that they offer students an unparalleled opportunity to get their art directly in front of a leading art agent! This student is someone who will have taken multiple MATS courses, been followed by MATS on Instagram and possibly had work reviewed in class by Lilla: all wonderful opportunities for MATS students to get their work noticed by Lilla and possibly get scooped up for representation.
In fact, the majority of artists recently taken on by Lilla Rogers Studio, including all six of the finalists from the most recent round of Lilla’s Global Talent Search, have all been MATS students. Here are three of Lilla’s current artists who were all MATS students:
New products from Lilla’s artist and MATS student Anne Bentley. Because Lilla assigns work and commissions to her artists every day, so she knows exactly what clients and art directors are looking for and what is hot right now!
New cards by Lilla’s artist and MATS student Åsa Gilland for Trader Joe’s. Imagine seeing your beautiful art on fun products like these!
New products by Lilla’s artist and MATS alumna Rebecca Jones. MATS courses are a unique opportunity to get your artwork in front of a leading art agent!
What gives MATS students the edge?
Here are just some of the reasons:
- They have a variety of strong, market-savvy work in their portfolios which means that Lilla knows she will be able to get them work. For Lilla’s live classes, such as Assignment Bootcamp and her new Home Décor Plus course, she writes all the assignments from scratch fresh for the class, which means they’re bang on trend. Lilla knows which markets are hot right now and what art directors are buying, and she uses that insider knowledge to create assignments which will land MATS students great jobs!
- They each have a really strong website and Instagram account which will catch the attention of potential clients. This is particularly true of students who have taken Portfolio Review Live.
- Lilla has seen how they are in class and she knows that they are professional in their interactions. Perhaps they are supportive of their fellow students, they’re always polite and good-natured, or they’ve shown they can work to deadlines.
Make Art That Sells classes are motivating and they’re fun, but most of all, they work!
Lots of love
