KATE BILLINGSLEY | GYPSY MOTH DESIGN
I’m currently taking MATS bootcamp, have downloaded quite a few of the free resources (really enjoyed the interview with Robert Kaufman’s art director) and plan on entering the Global Talent Search for the first time later this year.
I particularly love the way the whole of the MATS experience is about breaking everything down into doable tasks, whether it be the creative process, planning collections, or even finding an agent and getting work. I sometimes find I can get a little paralysed by the enormity of my goals, and I’m starting to notice the way I am now changing my work habits and creating smaller steps within an overall goal, making me far less anxious as a result. (Also, the community is so lovely and supportive!!)See more of Kate’s work

CHLOE CRES
I’ve taken : MATS A, MATS B, MATS Bootcamp 2015 and 2016.
MATS has really helped me to grow and to listen to my own creative voice. I still have to work hard but I can see my art is improving day after day and now I feel like I can call myself an artist. See more of Chloé’s work

EVA CHATELAIN
I have taken MATS Bootcamp 2016. I have wanted to take MATS courses since I saw Lilla’s quote : “People buy your joy.” I totally agree with this, but I used to think I didn’t have the right to think this way. The fact that a famous agent tells you this makes you feel more comfortable with it.
I am currently taking MATS Bootcamp, and I am already putting this way of thinking into practice. It has made a huge difference on my first assignment. I have felt more relaxed, it was almost meditative, and I intend to try this in my professional projects too. See more of Eva’s work here

I’ve taken part in: MATS Bootcamp 2015 and 2016. The Global Talent Search 2014 and 2015 and The Global Art Gathering.
If I was describing to a friend why to do the course and what I had got out of it, I would say: If you invest in one thing for yourself this year make it one of the courses from MATS. It has improved my confidence, helped me find my place in the market, become more confident in my own style and being ME as an artist.
Taking part in Bootcamp has enhanced my portfolio to the point that I feel confident submitting my work to art directors. The chance to ‘meet’ with fellow artists across the world, both online and in person (Global Art Gathering) is absolutely priceless. You can find your tribe whilst improving your skills in a supportive, creative environment. With Lilla Roger’s guidance you will be reminded why you love art and the chance to explore like you were able to in art-class is fantastic! See more of Fiona’s work
