Learn how to get paid for illustrating children’s books!

Our hugely popular online course, Illustrating Children’s Books, starts May 20th

Reason #6 of Ten Reasons to join MATS Creating Collections for Home Décor

reason-06

At the beginning of the course you will be provided with three cutting edge trend boards. These have been put together for you by art director Margo Tantau who oversees the production of more than 5,000 products a year and knows exactly what is hot and what is not.

You will choose one of these trend boards as your guide and inspiration for the entire course.

Each week you will get a mini exercise to loosen you up, and then a full Assignment to help you develop a professional-level portfolio piece. Each Assignment will be inspired by the trend board you choose, to ensure that the work you produce is on trend or ahead of trend.

After the full five weeks, you will end up with an outstanding, commercially-viable and very current presentation of a full home décor collection, featuring products made from the five most popular substrates of METAL, CERAMICS, FABRIC, GLASS and WOOD/MDF.

And the best bit? You can go back and do it all again in your own time using the two trend boards you didn’t pick, so your portfolio will be bursting with great ideas and appealing commercial work!

Throughout the five weeks of class you can ask any questions you like to Lilla and Margo. This is an amazing opportunity to find out the things they never tell you in art school, to discover more about what it’s like in the real professional world, and learn how to give yourself the best chance of success.

If you are an artist who sells on Etsy, you will find this incredibly valuable to help you better present your work, and have much more variety in what you sell.
