Our most recent FREE quarterly Art Challenge took place in December, and we loved seeing the amazing art that you created! See some of our favorites below, and learn how you can take part in the next FREE challenge on March 1st.
The assignment was to draw your favorite holiday food. Food and seasonal art are both great items to have in your portfolio – they’re fantastic for getting illustration commissions for greeting cards, cookbooks (food and art!), prints, tote bags, editorial art, and more – so why not combine the two?

Our next FREE quarterly Art Challenge launches Saturday, March 1st! Want to take part? Here’s what you need to know:
- The topic will be something that will look great in your portfolio.
- The topic will ONLY be revealed by email. That means you MUST be on our mailing list to take part. We won’t share your details with anyone else and you can opt out at any time. Sign up here now.
- You’ll have exactly one week to complete the challenge. (Learning to work to deadlines is essential if you want a career in illustration – plus they’re a great way to stay motivated.)
- Lilla will choose her favorite piece of art submitted before the deadline, and the winner will get a FREE place on Bootcamp Special: Character Play.
