Redrawing Black History is a fascinating and visually rich online course that is taught by Tamisha Anthony, who is an educator, an illustrator (who currently has five children’s book illustration deals in the pipeline) and a Make Art That Sells student, together with art agent Lilla Rogers. It will run for four weeks from January 10th, 2022, ahead of Black History Month in the USA, and promises to be a feast for your eyes, with hundreds of images showing Black American art, culture, history, dress and more, as well as giving you an enthralling insight into four key eras of Black American history. Plus for illustrators, you’ll also get to make some beautiful, timely art for your illustration portfolio.

Here’s your teacher, Tamisha, on this brand new course. We know you’re going to fall in love with her enthusiasm – plus she’ll also dress in stunning period costume for each week.

  • You’ll enjoy captivating weekly presentations, packed full of images of art, clothing, culture, historical figures and more, and you’ll be able to download the presentation too so that you can keep it as a visual reference.
  • It’s followed by a lively and engrossing discussion between Tamisha and art agent Lilla, where they talk about everything Tamisha has talked about in the presentation and more.
