Lana is a self-taught children’s book illustrator based in Gdańsk in Poland and represented by Astound. Inspired by nature, history, and the charm of everyday moments, Lana’s illustrations evoke a sense of cozy nostalgia, blending vibrant colours, rich textures, and endearing characters that transport viewers into heartwarming, magical worlds.

Our second new industry expert, Adam Ming, is also an Illustrating Children’s Books alumnus! Adam Ming is a Malaysian illustrator who grew up on Penang Island and now lives with his wife and daughter in Kuala Lumpur.

Adam, who is represented by the Soho Agency, makes witty and energetic illustrations with a comic sensibility. He has illustrated tons of books, for clients including Harper Collins, Bloomsbury, Wern and Rook, Hardie Grant, Scholastic, Anderson Press, and Penguin Random House.
