What can I hear? What magic might we create? Watch above for a short message from me and Riley!

Lilla here and I am pumped! Today I’m joining my brilliant inventor friend, toy agent and co-teacher, Riley, for a fab FREE live Zoom event (see replay below), and then THIS MONDAY we’re kicking off our brand new course, My Toy Pitch. It was a joy to write and I know it’s going to be even more incredible watching it unfold with all of you as you learn how to make art for toys and games. What magic might we create with our minds and imaginations?!

A little preview of the pitch created by my artist, former Make Art That Sells student Kelly Anne Dalton, when some of my artists beta tested My Toy Pitch earlier this year: read more here.

We did a big reveal of just some of the gorgeous toys and games out on the market to give you tons of ideas of what you can do with your art from the brilliant FREE #MATSprep warm up (catch up here if you missed it), and Riley talked you through exactly how you can use the art you created for the #MATSprep to:

  • Turn your art into an actual toy pitch – even if you don’t think of yourself as an inventor; and
Amp up your toy invention with cool twists that take it from great to stellar, just like you’ll get each week in class!

We also showed some sneak peeks of the cool and beautiful toy pitches that my artists created during the My Toy Pitch virtual residency (read more here), so you can start to understand just how fun, easy and accessible it is to create your own unique toy.

And we gave away a FREE place on My Toy Pitch to one lucky viewer, and answered student questions!
