Welcome back to Lilla’s Patented 100% Scientifically Accurate Magic Style Decoder Day 2: The Big Reveal! (If you missed part 1, click here)
Here’s Lilla’s nutty Magic Style Decoder game! If you missed part 1 here, click to get your copy.
Yesterday you downloaded your FREE copy of Lilla’s quirky and fun Magic Style Decoder game and circled your favourite set of pins in each row. Today you’re going to find out what it all means about your own personal style! Are you excited? You should be!
Now learn what your style is! Compare your printout to the answer sheet below and identify which squares you circled, then write them in the blanks in the sentence underneath the answer sheet.
The code to the Decoder! Which squares did you pick? Did we mention it’s 100% scientifically accurate? Ok, maybe not, but it is hopefully illuminating.
Read it back. Does it sound like you? You can switch it up to make it more like you if you like, or you can be happily rebellious and fill it in entirely with your own words! (As you may have suspected, it’s not actually scientific, but it gets you thinking.)
Once you’re happy with your sentence, write or draw it out, decorate it however you like then post it on social media using the tag #MATSprep so we can see what you do. We can’t wait to see them and share some of our favorites!
Did you have fun? Games are an amazing way to teach you how to tap into your soul, and to listen to your gut. These kinds of decisions are how you can approach art-making. By staying tuned in to the marks you make, the materials you use, and the things you draw, you discover your own style.
Work done for Creating Collections for Home Décor by artist Zoe Ingram, represented by Lilla Rogers Studio. The pitcher was actually made as part of a whole collection. What will yours look like?
Lilla takes great pride in making her courses as playful and fun as possible. She says: “I love making things playful for you, it opens up your creative treasure chest, helps override one’s inner critical voice, and gets you to make your best work because you’re having fun.”
Now think about home décor and our brand-new Home Décor PLUS course starting next week. What kind of art do you want to make? What do you like to draw? What kinds of products would you love to see your art on? Do you ever look at cool products and wonder how the artist who created them got the job? Let Lilla and Margo show you how!
See you in class soon! There’s just one week to go!
Lots of love,
