Why Make Art That Sells? Top art agent Lilla Rogers created Make Art That Sells because she wants to help creative people to make a living from their art. She says: “I want gifted people to make money with their art. They deserve it. I want them to make art that sells, while being their own cool selves. That’s my deal.” Every one of our outstanding raved-about courses was created to help creatives like you to make a living from making art, and they really work! In fact, ALL of the new artists taken on by Lilla Rogers Studio since MATS began in 2013 have been former MATS students – 17 in total! (Read more about them and how they got chosen here and here). Why? Because MATS courses help you to make unique art in a way that will appeal to agents and art directors, so you can build

REVEALED! Who is Lilla Rogers Studio’s newest artist?

We recently revealed that Lilla Rogers Studio is taking on a new artist who is also a Make Art That Sells student. This week we’re thrilled to be able to tell you that LRS’s newest artist is …  Kelly Anne Dalton!   Congrats, Kelly Anne!  Lilla said: “Kelly Anne’s work is so strong, cool and eccentric, plus her work demonstrates a charming, quirky imagination.  Her children’s book work in particular is incredibly strong: she’s taken Illustrating Children’s Books a number of times. It was obvious to me that she worked really hard in class and she always delivered: I always knew that her assignments were going to blow me away. You could tell that she was really taking in what Zoë and I were saying, absorbing the information from class and applying it to her work, and that told me that she was willing to work with me and that we could

As you can imagine, it’s enormous fun and always entertaining to find out where each prep will take you, but it’s also a brilliant way to find the joy in your artmaking, to just be in the moment and to play. Plus not knowing what will happen next is exciting and engaging;
