The toy and game market is booming in 2021 “We would never see this kind of unprecedented growth, I’ve never seen it in my life.” Juli Lennett, NPD Group toys industry analyst on the boost to toy sales during the pandemic The pandemic has been hard for most industries, but some – such as the toy and game market – are booming. According to a report by the NPD Group, for the first six months of the year, sales were up by a huge 16%, whereas usually they would be down 3-4%. And according to Adobe Analytics, more than $368.8 billion was spent online for toys during the first six months of the year: $77 billion higher than expected.
