Rebecca Jones is the Global Talent Search Special Studio Award Winner 2014. She is an artist working and living in Melbourne, Australia. Since winning the GTS, she has had many incredible projects and worked with some of her dream clients.
We have asked Rebecca to take us through some of the highlights of her career since winning representation with Lilla Rogers Studio and the work she has had access to through the agency.
Here are only a few of the many commissions she has been working on in the past few months.

October 2014
Won the GTS Studio Award!
Rebecca’s winning piece, Imagine, was since then picked up by Orange Circle Studio and Design House Greetings.
Her piece for the Global Talent Search, Super Sleuth, is now licensed by Psikhouvanjou for posters.
November 2014
Received my very first assignment as a Lilla Rogers Studio artist – to begin putting together my collection for Midwest CBK! As well as the artwork I had already created for the final round of the GTS, I created some new pieces to compliment and build out my collection. With the help of Margo and the other girls at Midwest CBK I designed my kitchen collection, creating layouts for mugs, plates, tea towels, wall art and tea caddy’s amongst other things.
December 2014
I received my first assignment that involved creating completely fresh artwork – and it was for Flow Magazine. I was so honoured to be asked by them to create something, as I love their magazine. I illustrated 5 quotes (in Dutch!) which were made into stickers, inside the Dutch version of the magazine, and they sat alongside an interview with me.
January 2015
After working really hard through out November and December creating new art, my work was shown at Printsource in New York. I got to illustrate my first Lilla Rogers Studio banner, which was great fun to do! The show was a great success for me, and I was really busy in the weeks that followed, with lots of new assignments.
February 2015
I signed my first contract to illustrate a book!
It had always been a dream of mine to illustrate books, and I was so excited that I was getting to do it at last.
May 2015
Showed my work at Surtex for the first time with Lilla Rogers Studio.
I had hoped to attend Surtex in person, but unfortunately a difficult family situation meant that I couldn’t be there. I was so busy in the weeks before Surtex, with new assignments and with my book project I wasn’t able to create a lot of new work. I did get to make a blurb portfolio book to be presented at the show, which I was very proud of.
June 2014
After many, many hours of drawing, and lots of hard work and late nights, I completed my first book project!
I have lots and lots of assignments coming up in the next month for some great clients. I’ll be working on Christmas cards, kids wall art, a gift wrap collection, a book, and a few other things as well. I’ll be kept very busy – watch this space!
