Bootcamp surprise #4 revealed: Composition secrets from Lilla
You know when you look at a piece of art and something looks slightly off, but you aren’t sure what? Or it’s uncomfortable on the eye, and you’re not sure why? That’s often down to ‘composition’, which is all about the arrangement of the visual elements of your work. Perhaps this word conjures up dreaded memories of art school where you were forced to follow certain rules. Or perhaps you’ve never actually thought of the lay out of your art work. Even if you are aware of the importance of composition, it’s worth having a refresher, as it can be so fundamental to the success of a piece. What you’ve been doing for the Mini Prep has been to create awareness so that when you sit down to make your collection, you are a more savvy, unique designer.
